What do you need to bring to cheer camp?

I thought it may be helpful to see a list of things you need to bring to camp. NCA camp is July 18th - July 21st at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The following is the suggested list of things to bring (I bold a few of our own ideas of things to bring too!)

• A great attitude (very important!!)
• Alarm Clock
• Umbrella and rain coat (or waterproof jacket)
• Any necessary medication (or aspirin/ibuprofen or allergy medication if you think you might  need it!)
• First aid kit (Coaches will be bringing one)
• Portable CD Player (Coaches will be bringing one)
• Bedding (fitted sheet, cover sheet, blanket and pillow)
• Towel (we will be there for 3 nights - so plan accordingly - there is no laundry)
• Toiletries:
• toothbrush & toothpaste
• face wash
• shampoo & conditioner
• deodorant
• hairspray (anything you might need)
• Camera
• Fan (This isn't required)
• Fun day outfit (We will be wearing matching tshirts & shorts)
• Please bring a FUN & colorful pair of knee socks! Be creative!!
• Also- thing about anything "rock" you might have (colorful hair bands?)
• Hair ties (ribbons for each day will be provided by coaches!)
• Hangers
• Healthy snacks (Unrefrigerated - granola bars, fruit snacks, crackers, etc)
• Insect repellent
• Money for NCA Spirit Shop (Shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, key chains, bags, etc will be available for purchase)
• Practice outfits ( you have already ordered!!) Don't forget socks & shoes :)
• Sunscreen
• Waterbottle!! (very important)
• Any games you might want to bring (cards, apples to apples, etc.)
• Cheerleading briefs (for uniform)

We are so excited to be able to go to camp at ISU. Just remember that this will be a busy and often tiring week -but you will learn so much and really bond with your team! Check out our facebook page for pictures of our team tshirt.

Cheerleading Fundraising Information

In order to offset the cost of warm ups and other cheerleading purchases, we will be participating in a fundraiser open to Indianola fans!

Each cheerleader is asked to find 2-3 (or more!) sponsors who would be willing to sponsor a spirit t-shirt that will be sold during sporting events throughout the year. As a sponsor, they will have their company’s information located on the back of the t-shirt. Depending on their level of sponsorship the following apply:

Silver Sponsor: Donate $25 – Name listed on back of t-shirt

Gold Sponsor: Donate $50 – Small company logo

Platinum Sponsor: $75 or above – Large company logo

T-shirts will be sold during athletic events as well as Indianola Schools.

If a cheerleader is able to raise the amount for the cheer warm up, it will not need to be paid for.

If you are able to find 3 or more sponsors you will get a free spirit t-shirt! If you are able to get 5 or more sponsors, you will receive your choice of free zebra tote or cheerleading season t-shirt!

Deadline for sponsors will be July 14^th.

Failure to find sponsorship for amount of warm up, will result in full payment of warm ups.

Any cheerleader who works for or has family incorporated within a company has first choice. Please call companies in advance to set up a time to meet with them!
